They are mainly a bunch of inept, elderly politicians who can't win against memes and fake news stories spreading like wildfire on social media. No can win against that. Issues and likability used to matter. Now it is rage and lies all over the Internet. The Information Superhighway that was supposed to expand the public sphere and make us more informed is now a major factor of our downfall. This blog was born out of the 1990s cultural and media studies theories on what the Internet could be. And now this is a journal of the downfall of American society.
